Jewellery & Silverware
Commissioning a piece of jewellery or silverware is a collaborative and rewarding process. Whether marking a milestone, creating a future heirloom, or reimagining something deeply personal, I work closely with each client to develop objects that are thoughtful, considered and entirely unique.
From contemporary kilt pins and engagement rings to sculptural vessels and ceremonial pieces, each commission is handmade in my Aberdeen studio using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Initial Conversation
Every commission begins with a conversation.
This may take place in person at the studio, at an exhibition, or via email, phone or video call. We will discuss your ideas, intended purpose, materials, and budget. These early discussions allow me to understand not just what you would like made, but why.

Design Development
Following our conversation, I develop a design proposal tailored to your requirements.
This may include sketches, reference imagery or material samples depending on the nature of the piece. I will provide a clear quotation and timeline at this stage.
Once the design and cost are agreed, a 50% deposit secures the commission and workshop time.

Making
Your piece is handmade in my studio using traditional hammer-forming, chasing and surface techniques.
I am happy to share progress updates throughout the process. Each piece is individually hallmarked (where applicable) at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
Please note that hallmarking can take up to two weeks once the piece is complete.

Completion & Delivery
Upon completion, the remaining balance is due prior to collection or shipping.
Pieces are carefully wrapped and shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK. International shipping is available on request.
Services & Repairs
Alongside bespoke commissions, I offer a range of workshop services from my Aberdeen studio.
These include:
• Ring resizing
• Chain repair and soldering
• Pearl restringing
• Rhodium plating
• Cleaning and polishing
• Silverware restoration
• Minor structural repairs
• Engraving coordination with trusted specialists
If you have a specific repair or alteration in mind, please do get in touch, all enquiries are considered and assessed individually.
Where specialist processes are required, I work with a trusted network of engravers, polishers and platers to ensure the highest standard of finish.
Remodelling & Recycling
I welcome the opportunity to rework inherited or unworn silver and gold into new contemporary pieces.
Reimagining existing materials can be both sustainable and deeply meaningful. During our consultation we can discuss how your metal might be incorporated into a new design.
