Mini Chased Sterling Silver Earrings
These miniature chased earrings translate the quiet language of wood carving into silver.
Each surface is hand-worked using traditional chasing techniques, with repeated marks echoing the form and rhythm of a carved wood chip. Originally inspired by the act of whittling; a slow, meditative process rooted in making by hand, the pattern becomes a contemporary surface in precious metal.
No two pairs are identical. The placement, density and movement of each mark respond intuitively during making, allowing the hand of the maker to remain visible in every piece.
Compact and tactile, these earrings offer a subtle connection to process, memory and material; small objects that carry the presence of time, repetition and care.
