Punched Sterling Silver Beaker Set

Punched Sterling Silver Beaker Set

£2,950.00Price

A set of hand-raised silver vessels shaped through repetition, rhythm, and impact.

Each beaker is formed in sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques, before being worked through punching, a process of repeated strikes that build a textured surface directly into the material. The pattern emerges gradually, defined by movement and pressure rather than applied decoration.

The surface carries a distinct language from chasing; more direct, more rhythmic, echoing the marks of tools on worked metal and the physicality of making. Light moves across the vessels unevenly, catching on the punched forms and revealing a shifting interplay of highlight and shadow.

Beakers are among the most immediate forms in silversmithing, held directly in the hand, used without mediation. This set continues that lineage, designed for drinking, sharing, and repeated use.

Individually, each vessel carries slight variations in surface and form. Together, the set forms a unified group, connected through process, yet distinct in detail.

Rooted in material, labour, and use, the set sits between function and object, intended to be used, lived with, and gathered around.
