Chased Sterling Silver Earrings
These hand-chased earrings translate the language of carved wood into silver.
Inspired by the form and grain of wood chips produced through whittling, each piece is worked by hand using traditional chasing techniques. Repeated hammer strikes create a layered surface that echoes the rhythm of carving; a slow, meditative process embedded within the metal itself.
Rather than replicating wood directly, the motif is reinterpreted: abstracted, repeated, and refined into a contemporary texture. Each pair develops its own character through making, with subtle variations in form and pattern ensuring no two are identical.
Larger in scale than the mini versions, these earrings hold a stronger presence; balancing sculptural form with wearable elegance. They sit as small objects of process and memory, rooted in traditional craft and shaped by the hand.
