Textured Sterling Silver Lapel Pin
A small sculptural object designed to be worn, this sterling silver lapel pin preserves the fleeting form of wood in metal.
Each piece is cast directly from a real wood chip, capturing its grain, irregular edges and subtle surface textures. What begins as a temporary fragment; shaped through carving and handling, is transformed into a permanent, wearable form.
Worn on a jacket, knit or coat, the pin sits quietly yet distinctly. Its surface reveals itself gradually, catching light and inviting closer inspection. Unlike traditional lapel pins that rely on symbol or insignia, this piece speaks through material and process.
No two are identical. The form of each pin is determined by the original wood chip, making every piece a unique record of making; a moment translated into silver.
Understated and tactile, it offers a contemporary alternative to heritage pins: rooted in craft, but free from convention.
