Chased Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Spoon

Chased Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Spoon

£495.00Price

A small, purposeful object shaped through touch, repetition, and use.

This sterling silver tea caddy spoon is hand-formed and worked through chasing, creating a surface that carries the marks of making. The texture is built gradually through controlled strikes, echoing the language of carved surfaces and worked ground.

Caddy spoons have long been associated with the careful handling of tea; once a precious material, measured and stored with intention. This piece continues that tradition, designed for the quiet ritual of scooping, measuring, and preparing.

The compact form sits naturally in the hand, its weight and balance considered for repeated use. Light moves across the textured surface, revealing subtle variations that emerge through the making process.

Rooted in both historical silversmithing and contemporary practice, the spoon bridges past and present; a functional object that carries a sense of permanence and care.

Each piece is individually made, with variations in surface and form that reflect the nature of the process.
